How To Submit Contest Scores

Page Last Updated: 03-05-2025 - Updated formatting.

Dear CD/scorekeeper,

Congratulations on your Tour event!

If you used F3XVault for your scoring system please be sure you have included your contest as part of the F5J USA Tour series for the current year. Once that is done your contest scores will automatically be added to the F5J USA Tour series and you are finished!

If you used GliderScore for your scoring system you will need to export your contest results from GliderScore in the comma separated values (CSV) format and then send us the file(s) so we can add them to the Tour series in F3XVault. Please follow the steps below:

Export the CSV file

First, open your competition in GliderScore and from the Competition Setup screen follow the steps below:

1. Set GroupScore = Points, if not already.
2. Set TotalScore = Truncated to 2 decs, if not already.
3. Set Points/second + Timing decimals = 1 pts/sec and 0 decs, if not already.
If any of the above were set wrong you should be able to change them and GliderScore should automatically re-calculate the contest results.

4. Click on Reports. A new window will pop-up, shown below:

5. Click on Flight Scores. A new window will pop-up, shown below:

6. Check All flown for Rounds, Groups, and Reflights.
7. Select Group by Flight groups.
8. Finally click Save as File and save it to your computer drive using the default filename assigned by GliderScore.

Note: If your Tour event was a single set of rounds (i.e. no fly-offs) then you will only need to create a single CSV file. If you had fly-offs then you will need to repeat steps 1-8 for the fly-off contest and create a second CSV file.

After creating the .CSV file (or files if you had fly-offs), please email them toand we will get to work on them right away!

Once we receive your file(s) we will add your contest to the F5J USA Tour series in F3XVault.

Also, please remember to send in your Tour fees as well!

Thank you!
